  7. For Physicians • With the Michigan Medical Marijuana Law, physicians can now recommend marijuana to patients. • This can be done without fear of prosecution. • The law specifically states a physician shall not be subject to arrest, prosecution or penalty in any manner or denied any right or privilege, including but not limited to civil penalty or disciplinary action by the Michigan board of medicine or the Michigan board of Osteopathic medicine and surgery, or any other business or occupational or professional licensing board or bureau.

  8. For Physicians • A physician means an individual licensed Physician under part 170 or 175 of the code. • Written certification means a document signed by a physician in good standing with the department, stating the patient’s debilitating medical condition and stating that, in the physician’s professional opinion, the patient is likely to receive therapeutic or palliative benefit from the medical use of marijuana to treat or alleviate the patient’s debilitating medical condition or symptoms associated with.

  9. The Michigan Medical Marijuana Association is a 501 (c)(3) Not For Profit, Community Service Agency. The mission is to empower Michigan's medical marijuana community by providing them with safe, reliable and affordable access to information and quality caregivers. We believe that empowerment through education, advocacy, and open communication benefits not only medical marijuana patients, but will also add value to the society at large. The MMMA was organized by Greg Francisco, Melody Karr and Bob Heflin, long-time friends and well respected activists in Michigan's cannabis community. In addition to our founders, the MMMA utilizes the talents of many people who volunteer their time to make the MMMA a living, breathing entity. www.michiganmedicalmarijuana.org

  11. Indica • Indicas are known for their smaller stature. • They are relatively short and bushy. Some are compact, others are of a more moderate height. • Indicas tend to grow wider and rounder than sativas. • Many look like small shrubs. • Indicas typically grow out many more smaller side colas

  12. Indica • Indicas are known for a heavy pleasant body buzz. • Great for relaxation, stress relief, and over all sence of calm and serenity. • Used for overall body relief and insomnia. • Very high in THC, may cause “couchlock”.

  15. Sativa • The high is often uplifting and energetic. • The effects are mostly cerebral. They give a feeling of optimism and well - being, as well as providing a good measure of pain relief for certain symptoms. • A few pure sativas are also very high in THC content. • They are known to have a quite spacey effect. • Sativas are a good choice for daytime smoking.
