Unia Europejska Jest to gospodarczo-polityczny zwiazek dwudziestu siedmiu europejskich demokratycznych krajw, bedacy efektem wieloletniego procesu integracji politycznej, gospodarczej i spolecznej, bedac zarazem najwieksza, najprezniejsza i unikatowa organizacja tego typu na swiecie. Unia Europejska obecnie sklada sie z 27 panstw czlonkowskich i jest zamieszkiwana przez okolo 495 milionw osb. Polska jest czlonkiem Unii Europejskiej od 1 maja 2004. Obecna Unia Europejska nie ma osobowosci prawnej. Podstawe do jej funkcjonowania stanowi traktat z Maastricht, zwany tez Traktatem o Unii Europejskiej.
