Usability Maturity Model Survey Results

This white paper, developed by HIMSS workgroup co-leads Nancy Staggers and Melanie Rodney, outlines the findings from a Usability Maturity Model (UMM) survey aimed at assessing and improving usability practices in electronic health records (EHRs). The purpose is to provide healthcare organizations with resources to raise awareness of usability's role in effective EHR systems and offer tools for self-assessment of usability practices. The paper also discusses historical context and stages of usability maturity to help organizations enhance user experience in healthcare technology.
