Effective Use of Video Conferencing, Wikis, and Blogs in Education

This meeting led by Randall Miller on November 2, 2009, discussed the integration of video conferencing, wikis, and blogs in educational settings.   15. Nuts & Bolts • The teacher will remain the admin of every student blog. • Students should not be the admin of any blog. They should be contributors or editors. • Student user accounts will need to use their NCWISE Id number for their username and students must use a WCPSS e-mail address • WCPSS e-mail accounts for students are simple to request: Principal must e-mail the help desk and indicate the teacher's name/class or indicate "whole school" if they want accounts for all students. No other information is needed. Information required for the accounts is pulled from NCWISE for them.
