  2. PPC Goals (1) • Long Range Plan Priority C-1: Encourage, train, assess and support current and future leaders • PPC Specific Goals • Oversee development of Parish Leadership development program • Administer annual Commission Discernment program to identify future Commission members

  3. PPC Goals (2) • Long Range Plan Priority A-1: Authenticate Catholic identity that includes Catechesis, liturgy, moral formation, prayer, communal life, evangelization, discipleship, sacraments in communion with the Magisterium. • PPC Specific Goals • Include formation at each monthly meeting

  4. PPC Goals (3) • Long Range Plan Priority E-3: Enable all people to feel connected. • PPC Specific Goals • Provide an annual forum for sharing of Commission accomplishments and providing feedback to the Parish • Administer annual Commission Discernment program to identify future Commission members

  5. Discernment Update • 5 discerned to several Commissions (Parish Council, Finance, Evangelization & Catechesis • Declining numbers over past several years • PPC exploring options to enhance attendance • Not the only means for someone to become a Commission Member • Discussion

  6. PPC Additional Roles • Oversee Parish Long Range Plan • Council is responsible for general oversight of the implementation of the LRAP. With the pastor the Pastoral Council reviews, approves, and revises, the LRAP Prioritized Goals submitted by the Commissions each year. The Pastoral Council will hear reports from Commissions periodically on the progress of implementation of their strategies. Pastoral Council is responsible for deciding which LRAP Goals will be implemented by the particular Commissions.
