  4. Rivulet Tiny channels formed when rainwater flows downhill over land as run-off

  5. Gully These channels begin as rivulets and deepen over time

  6. Spring Water that flows slowly under the ground in rock or soil. It can also be water that flows out of a cave.

  8. Delta A flat plain created when sediment is deposited at the river’s mouth. It is typically shaped like a triangle.

  9. Dams Something that is built to collect or control water

  10. Reservoir The artificial lake that is formed behind the dam
