Jesus’ mission to his Apostles was that they should “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..” Below are 4 people who decided to obey this mission. Do you know what country in the UK each of them went to? The First Missionaries in Britain Know who spread Christianity in England. Describe in detail the life of one of the early missionaries.   2. Map of Britain • Match up the Saints to the country they went to. Label each Saint. • Colour in the arrows and the countries: Scotland – Blue, Ireland – green, Wales – Yellow (or use your own colour coding) • Fill in the timeline with the names of the Saints, going by the date of their death. • Add in the label “Constantine – changed Empire to Christianity” in 330AD • which country do you think it would be most difficult to be a missionary in? What difficulties could there be there? **Would it be harder or easier to be a missionary if the Romans had left?

  5. Homework Choose one of the other 3 Saints from your sheet (NOT St Patrick). Design a poster to advertise his coming to your town. Follow the instructions on your sheet.
