  4. Purpose • To ensure the quality of samples received for analysis at laboratories • To harmonise procedures • To provide constructive guidance to officers on the sampling methods to be used for each type of product.

  5. Financed by the European Commission as a guide for Officers in all Member States. • Created by the Sampling Project Group for the Customs Laboratories European Network (CLEN) under Action 3 – Networking on Quality. • The Sampling Project Group includes experts from selected EU member states

  6. Main features … • SAMANCTA is a product of CLEN • SAMANCTA is available on-line • SAMANCTA is available in all EU languages • SAMANCTA is used by customs and tax authorities • SAMANCTA e-learning is also available • SAMANCTA updates and enrichment are ongoing
