Feedback from EFRTC-meeting june 2007 by Jaap de Jong Discussion on suggested requirements EN 14969: • Deviations of requirements in individual countries were made up. • For next meeting Sjaan Wierikx will make an overview of the exact formulations EN 14969 and distribute Procedure for qualification, selection and contract award: • A proposal was presented • When a contractor satisfies all requirements he is not automatically linked to qualification • National IM checkes information and issues a document of evidence • Qualification is a decision made by individual IMA • Tender announcement, contractors are invited to shown their interest • For next meting Eric Maatjes will make some changes in the procedure and distribute Subjects 1

Admission on track: • An extensive Overview of subjects for admission on track according to prEN 14033-1 was not regarded as scope of this working group • For next meeting Kjell Gunnar Braathen will make an overview template of key documents, responsible authorities etc. And distribute. Technical requirements, evaluation of experience, testprojects • A project specific evaluation document was presented • It was proposed to use annex Evaluation form En 14969 as starting point for performance rating • Some changes have to be made f.i. room for remarks of special conditions • Next meeting we will discuss the individual IM approache to performance rating Subjects 2

  5. Since there were at least 5 people absent, it was suggested to meet at least in all countries, in order to get more involvement. All agreed with this proposal. Concluding remarks

Final version of EN 14969 Template: • A final update is presented by Sjaan Wierikx • To get a better overview data to be provided, documentation to be provided by applicant and assessment criteria are separtely presented in the template. • All participants are requested to complete the template with national requirements in order to: • Show the differences between national requirements and EN 14969 • Prepare a proposal for amendment of EN 14969 • Get approval from all IM’s to apply principles • Eric Maatjes will contact all IM’s to get their cooperation • In a later stage ERA can be contacted in order to make this code compulsory Subjects 1

  9. Procedure for qualification, selection and contract award • Eric Maatjes has prepared a short version of the procedure. The following additions have to be made: • The result of the procedure is not qualification, but a document issued by an IM that requirements are fulfilled. • Decision to qualify is always made by each national IM. • Each IM can add specific national requirements in raleting to national procedures. • The review process must be added. Admission on track: • Kjell Gunnar Braathen has prepared a proposal for an overview template of institutions and documentation for admission on track: • Network statement • Saftety regulations and inspectorate • National law • Infrastructure Manager For next meeting everybody have to fill out the template with the national information Subjects 2

Performance rating: All participantes prepared an overview how the performance is related to • The process of qualification • Selection • Contract award For next meeting all the participants will make a description of the procedure in their home country For next meeting Eric Maatjes and Jaap de Jong will prepare the agenda and the homework Subjects 3
