Conservation Imperative for Marine Birds and Mammals of the Salish Sea

This session focuses on the critical conservation needs of marine birds and mammals in the Salish Sea. Led by conveners Douglas Bertram, John Elliott, Steven Jeffries, and Peter S. Ross, we explore various aspects of marine ecology and the impacts of environmental change. With associated posters, including Andrew Huang's study on the role of Great Blue Herons and Lisa Spaven's assessment of threats to marine mammals in BC from 2008-2010, this session highlights the importance of these species within the ecosystem and the urgent need for conservation efforts.
