Continuing Education Credits (CECs) • Tracking mechanism that documents your involvement in professional development activities • Represents the number of hours of engaged learning (1 CEC = 1 hour of educational activity) • Tracked through ACA Educational History accessible to ACA members • Often compatible with Continuing Education Units (CEUs) required by many professional certification programs
Educational Endorsement • Process used to vet educational programs (online or in-person trainings) • Organizations can get their events endorsed, which expands ACA’s abilities to offer quality professional development experiences • All endorsed educational activities award CECs that document learning experiences • Listed on our endorsed educational programs’ calendar
Certificates of Added Qualification • Foundational online courses with intensive immersion into lessons that address all the ACA Core Competencies- usually directed toward a specific clientele • Entry Level Program Staff course- NEW • 25 hours (25 CECs) of online lessons that a variety of learning opportunities • 2 level approach that recognizes experience • Individual registration as well as a group rate • Next one directed toward Middle managers
