  1. Treasure Island Author: Robert Louis Stevenson Pages : 254 1700s By: Sterling Nielsen

  2. Characters: Antaganist • Jim Hawkins- the main character, he is also the narrator of the book. He finds a treasure map in a chest of a dead pirate Billy Bones. He then shows it to two men that are both wealthy and respectable men Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney, the two men then decide to go and find the treasure and take young Jim Hawkins with.

  3. Characters • Long John Silver- pirate leader, natural Commander, when he tells you to do something you do it..

  4. Exposition • Jim Hawkins is working at his families inn when they get a colorful visitor named Billy Bones. • Jims father dies. • Pirates attach the inn • Billy Bones dies • Jim finds map in Billy's chest

  5. Rising action • Jim takes map to Dr. Livesey and Squire Trelawney. • The Squire gets a ship and hires Long John Silver to find him a crew. • They set sail thinking everything is good. • Jim falls asleep in a apple barrel while at sea and overhears a conversation between Long John and some of the crew about taking over the ship after they find the treasure. • Crew mutinies while on the island. Lots of gun battle break out.

  6. Climax • Long Johns men capture Jim and make him show them where the treasure is. • But the pirates turn on Silver because there is no treasure there. • Were the treasure was supposed to be the “good guys” spring a trap on the pirates killing all of them but Silver.

  7. Falling Action • Turns out the good guys found the treasure already and they load it onto the ship and start to sail home. • Silver escapes from the ship, never to be seen again. Resolution Everybody that survived becomes rich and happy.

  8. Crime • Crime is any act that is forbidden by law because it is harmful to people, property, or society.

The Struggle Struggling upwards continue to climb,No crime committed but doing the time,I am hurting,You are hurting,And the children they feel it too,Don't know how I can continue living if its living without you,How to stop it,How to fix it,I wish I knew just how,Have to live it and to breathe it,I guess there's no choice now,We've been punished for too long now and it still just isn't right,All were asking is for freedom and to hold each other tight,Didn't do it,We're the victims,In this corruption that's been lived,Will never forget it,Never heal,And I know I won't forgive,There's an ending to this nightmare,Yes I know its there,I pray to God that we will find it,And that the endings near,I'll hold my pillow and I'll cry yet another lonely night,Keep thinking of you,And the struggles,Can't believe we lost the fight,But we will make it,We can take it,I know that we are strong,Because you and I,We know the truth,And the jury, they were wrong,But now I leave you with my emotions,Scarred and battered in my heart,The end is nearing,I can feel it,And we will no longer be apart. • --Nicole 6/19/00

And they are costing this country 300 billion dollars annually according to the FBI. So is it a problem?
