Our First Strategy Annotating Class Notes

P rior This strategy can be used for textbooks, readings, and any handout given in class. • Reexamine the titles, subtitles, and section headings of the notes • Study any illustrations or graphs from the notes. • Look for any underlined words from the notes.

We need to decide how to make it work for us. • Identify people of note • Identify places/times • Identify key vocabulary • Identify unfamiliar words • Identify important content • Identify important concept • Connect information • Has a Question ! ?
