SNIA Europe PR Results Q1 • Q1 results • 64 pieces of SNIA coverage - press clippings • 34 pieces of SNIA contributed content • 2 briefings/speaking opportunities • 1 press release (CompTIA in German/DACH) • 14 contributed articles written and placed • Contributed content is clippings for which journalist used any type of SNIA-provided information, e.g. statistical figures taken from a SNIA press release (without quoting the whole release). • Press clippings is the overall number of clips and counts everything mentioning SNIA, e.g. a press release unrelated to SNIA that mentions any vendor joining the association in a release not supported by SNIA.

Translations are not free... • Translation costs into German from stautner&statuner • Current German translation costs are included in the retainer • From today‘s (April) perspective, we do not see the need for any additional budget for translations • However, as it cannot it be predicted how long upcoming content will be, we will determine if we need to come up with a cost estimate in the second half of the year • We have an outside contractor to translate (by words)basically 150 euros for 1450 words ~.10/word • So far we plan to localize the following pieces • Data protection (M. Schneider) • Flash in the datacenter (A. McDonald) • Cloudy with a chance of gain (Glyn Bowden) • And look (once ready) into • Understanding data deduplication • Retaining Information for 100 years • Active Archive

Website update • Compliments from the International team • Other RAs will use our site as a model if they want to update their site • Some comments about SNIA Europe moving away from the current brand that all other RAs had to use (our old site) – caused some heartburn with other RA board members • Update on Website - Mary • Update on current hits to our site • Unique visitors up 20% (from 600 to 750) • Pageviews up 350%  (from avg 2440 to avg 8500) • Time on site up 109% ( just over 2-1/2 mins to nearly 6 mins) • Status of Polling questions? • Status of scrolling graphics?

DCT Academy presentations... • Update from Education Committee • Effective immediately we are implementing a new policy for all SNIA Tutorials to give greater visibility to the creators (authors) of SNIA Tutorials. •  The change applies to the title slide of the SNIA Tutorial template.  Specifically, when a presenter of a SNIA Tutorial is not the author but uses the materials to present at other events, i.e. SNW Europe, Road Shows, SNIA webcasts, etc., the presenter must indicate both the author and the presenter on the title slide
