Kingswood Partnership • Six 11–19 schools, 7,000 pupils includes 850 Post 16 students • City of Bristol FE College 18,000 full time students with one site in the Kingswood area • Kingswood - low unemployment • - high % of self-employed / small employers • - very low HE experience of parents • - 2007 5 x A* - C GCSE = 51% • - include English and Maths = 39%

Revised Key Stage 3 for The Sir Bernard Lovell School • Purpose • revise Key Stage 3 in order to: • develop skills and competencies relevant to the re-designed 14-19 Curriculum • use these skills and competencies to establish learning across the curriculum • develop a coherent personal development curriculum, 20% of time in years 7 and 8 • use the personal development curriculum time in year 9 to change the pedagogical experience in preparation for the diplomas • incorporate functional skills and PLTS THE KINGSWOOD PARTNERSHIP working with the INTERNATIONAL LEARNING AND RESEARCH CENTRE
