Dataconferencing AG • More synergies with IMTC scope: Web-based presentation systems frequently work in conjunction with audio and/or video conferencing, including streaming technologies. • Resurgence of dataconferencing from web-based applications used on their own or in conjunction with audio or video conferencing.

Dataconferencing AG • Added a section to http://www.imtc.org/act_data.htm for links to dataconferencing products by IMTC member companies. • PURPOSE: Highlight how much dataconferencing is really out there! Approx two dozen companies listed here so far. Please send links to your company’s dataconferencing products, or products that support dataconferencing, to: chuck@octavecom.com

  6. Dataconferencing AG • Discussions held on whether to organize an attempt to grow a new, more "Internet friendly" T.120. This might include a topological change from the current "top-provider" architecture to more of a client-server approach, as well as the possible use of some new T.123 profiles like (for example) the newly-proposed MDTP or RUDP from the IETF SIGTRAN group, while attempting to re-use as much of the current T.120 technology as possible, where appropriate.

  7. Dataconferencing AG • The other major activity of the group was preparing for SuperOp '99 and the T.120 portion of the CCP testing. • 1998’s SuperOp! Focused on validating T.120 transports within H.320, H.323, H.324, and this approach was continued at SuperOp’99. • Resurrected and reformatted the detailed T.120 test plans from previous Event120’s - still need to review more for changes in the standards. This is now available as a single document from the SuperOp’99 section of the IMTC FTP site, see T120test.zip

Dataconferencing AG plans Continue to expand http://www.imtc.org/act_data.htm - add more material on T.120 test plans T.120 test plans do need updating (TCP/ip was not yet part of T.123, T.128 not included, other updates necessary) Continued recruitment - send more letters to Internet data conferencing companies inviting them to learn more about IMTC Encourage discussions on continuing to evolve T.120, as well as needs of other forms of dataconferencing.
