Highlights (Q1/2007) • Cells behaving well, no oscillations this winter • SOML Integration contract closed • Walkthrough conducted in January, 100 item punch list generated, ~50% completed • Air compressor capacity increased 75% in January • LBTO staff replaced SX HP-4 2 weeks ago • SX characterized last September • DX partially characterized LBT Q1 2007 Engineering Review

Open Issues • Technical • Cell Documentation deficient and/or nonexistant • Hardpoints have lower stiffness that desired, meet 80N/m (min required) • Air boxes hot, require insulation/cooling • Actuator test stand undocumented/not maintainable • Dew-point of cell compressed air not being monitored • Schedule • None • Financial • Cell documentation and test stand upgrade will be cost-plus, >$100k • Dew-point monitors ($7 >10k) will be charged to? • Resource • Mountain staff limitations pace work at Observatory • J Hill will compute new force distribution matrix this Summer (elimination of HP actuators) LBT Q1 2007 Engineering Review

Planning (Q2/2007) • LBTO staff will replace first dual actuator 2nd qtr • LBTO staff will diagnose, repair and recalibrate actuator 2nd qtr • SOML will replace puck bonds SX HP-0 and 1 May 17-18 • ETS has offered project proposal to prepare cell documentation (acceptance TBD) • ETS to modify hardpoint monitor board (TBD) • High pressure actuators will be converted to standard pressure, 3rd qtr • ETS will rework Actuator Calibration Stand (TBD) • Engineering will complete DX characterization measurements 2nd qtr LBT Q1 2007 Engineering Review
