RMS Update to TAC • September 10 RMS Meeting Summary: • Reviewed 2008 Market Participant Survey Action Plan • Clarification from ERCOT requested • Will review open items at 10/15 RMS meeting • Will provide recommendations to TAC in November • Credit Risk Standard Consideration • Document still in flux, subsequent review by CWG and WMS was still pending • RMS did not take recommendation vote but gained new understanding of the reporting tool

RMS Update to TAC • Market Advanced Readings and Settlement Task Force (MARS TF) • Scope: • MARS Taskforce will accommodate market stakeholders in review of the Advanced Metering Implementation Team (AMIT) interim solution (PRR 766) documentation, which includes Distributed Generation premises with provisioned advanced meters, and the taskforce will conduct subsequent meetings to discuss any outstanding questions or business requirement issues as they are identified. • Objectives: • MARS Taskforce will provide input into the detailed business requirements and assumptions. • MARS Taskforce will facilitate the resolution of all issues related to business requirements of the interim solution.

RMS Update to TAC • MARS Issue # 1 • Retail market NIDR 867_03 (Final) stop date vs. IDR 867_03 (Final) stop date used to complete a service order and the impacts of the difference when using Advanced Meter data in settlement . • How the REP of Record (ROR) history is maintained for ESI IDs with Advanced meters? • How/what usage is used in settlement and what is affiliated with the 810?

RMS Update to TAC • MARS Recommendation for Issue #1: • In order for the Interim Settlement Solution to be supported by mid to late 2009 MARS recommends that ERCOT be allowed to continue their current processes for Non-IDR 867_03 Final transactions, this would mean: • NIDR 867_03 Finals (F) will continue to be used to complete service orders and maintain the REP history. Therefore, ERCOT will continue to stop the REP history with the day prior to the date received in the 867_03F at 23:59:59. • For the Long-Term Settlement Solution of Advanced Meters MARS recommends that this issue be thoroughly vetted by the Advanced Metering Implementation Team (AMIT) and Market Stakeholders for the appropriate market resolution.

RMS Update to TAC • ERCOT 2009 SLA Update • Considerations: • Expanded maintenance windows from 12 to 15 hours on weekend 1 and 2 (reduced from proposed 18 hrs.) • Move Release window from week 2 to week 4 based on less market transaction activity • Reduce Outage window from 36 hours to 30 hours • 4 months each year have 5 weekends so add a 12 hour maintenance window • RMS will consider October 15
