  2. Anointing of the Sick • A sacrament through which Jesus offers healing and strengthening • Through the power of the Holy Spirit • Used • When one is experiencing an illness or difficulties of old age • Frequency • Can be received each time someone falls ill

  3. Rite of Anointing of the Sick • The priest greets all who are present with peace and asks God to bless them. • The sick are sprinkled with holy water • Renewal of one’s Baptism • Penitential Rite or Reconciliation is received. • Liturgy of the Word
