  2. Review Collage is cutting or tearing and pasting to make a picture. Natural or man made materials can be used. Eric Carle is an illustrator that uses collage to create his pictures.

  3. Bookmaking But how do I illustrate? What are some Ways to make Pictures? What if I am Not good at Drawing?

  4. Bookmaking: Illustration part 2 Drawing: Using pencil, pen, crayons, markers, or other writing utensil to create pictures. Illustrators: Tomie dePaola- Simple shapes, bold lines and lots of color. Quentin Blake- ink and water color with shaky lines to look like fast work.

  5. Bookmaking: Illustration part 2 Tomie dePaola study: (on document camera) What do you notice about his drawings? What type of materials do you think he used? Can you draw yourself in Tomie dePaola's style?
