Oaks Family Care Center is dedicated to assisting families in Medina County by providing essential programs and resources for individuals facing pregnancy and life challenges. We offer free pregnancy services, parenting classes, emotional and spiritual support, and material goods, including food and clothing. Our holistic approach ensures that those in need receive comprehensive assistance, connecting them with local churches for further spiritual growth. Our mission reflects the spirit of Isaiah 61:2-4, serving over 1,600 families annually with compassion and care.

  1. Who is Oaks Family Care Center? We will help men and women understand their options so they can make educated decisions regarding life issues.

  2. Where is Oaks Family Care Center? Families from Medina County are the primary beneficiaries from the Oaks.

  3. Isaiah 61: 2-4 (Founding Scripture) “…and provide for those who grieve in Zion - to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor. “

  5. What Type of Programs Offered • Pregnancy Services (offered at no charge) • We provide material, emotional and spiritual support for women and men concerned about pregnancy issues and/or their life style. • Home loss, parenting classes

  6. Be PROACTIVE, not REACTIVE

  7. What we give to those in need • Clothing • Material goods • Cribs (if available) • Car seats (only if brand new) • Food Pantry (In Lodi location) • Housing • Materials for classes offered (books, ect) • Mentoring and Prayer

  10. Our Staff provides assistance to more than 1,600 families and individuals each year. In a typical year, we connect with these families more than 6,000 times during our programs. It is our policy to never turn anyone away from the services they need.

  11. Free Support When people feel overwhelmed and hopeless, they often make choices that lead to regret and guilt later in life. The Oaks staff and volunteers help women better understand the options available for their situation. We also help them to carefully consider the affects of their choices on their futures. Our services take a holistic approach that includes support in the following areas: Emotional - counseling and individual support. Physical - clothing and food Spiritual - bible studies and referrals to churches

  12. Support and Education Brunswick Oaks provides crisis intervention and support to help expectant mothers with difficult decisions. These include: • Parenting vs. Adoption • Carrying to term vs. Abortion • Help overcoming a miscarriage • Post Abortion healing Education is provided on the emotional and physical long term affects of abortions. We believe in the sanctity of life. Whenever possible, spiritual guidance and support is also provided.

Classes • Prenatal classes (men and women) • Visitation programs (if parent needs supervised visits) • Parenting Class (Incredible Years) • Free childcare and dinner • Breastfeeding Classes • Infant Massage Class and CPR • Surrender the Secrets • Post Abortion class for both men and women • AND MANY MORE!

  14. Donor Accountability • Our ministry is able to provide services because churches accept us as a local mission. Financial accountability is strengthened through the active involvement of volunteers from local churches in our daily operations. Monies raised in our area are designated for programs and activities.

  15. Connecting Clients to Churches • We believe it is our responsibility to present the gospel to clients. Volunteers from local churches are then able to connect families with congregations that will encourage spiritual growth and development.

Your Church Can Help! • Pray! • Offer Financial Support • Hold a Baby Drive or Host a Baby Shower • Material Goods Volunteer • Individual Support • Office Workers • Homemade Baked Goods • Maintenance • Refer people in crisis to Oaks • Encourage others to volunteer • Join our monthly pledge team • Invite speakers from Oaks to talk on topics such as parenting, relationships, and healing issues.

  17. Volunteers • We believe Oaks services represent the heart and hands of God as we minister to area families in need. These works are best done through His people whom He has called to serve. We are blessed to have all of our volunteers providing support and care.
