  2. Early Life -Abigail was born on Nov. 22nd (11th on the calendar used back then) in Weymouth, Mass. To William and Elizabeth Smith.

  3. Education • Though she had no formal education, Abigail’s mother taught her and her sisters to read, write and cipher

  4. On October 25, 1764 Abigail married John Adams, who later became 2nd president of the united states. • Abigail was the first woman to be both the wife, and mother of an U.S. president

  5. Most Famous Quote • "remember the Ladies, and be more generous and favorable to them than your ancestors. Do not put such unlimited power into the hands of the Husbands. Remember all Men would be tyrants if they could.   6. Three of her greatest accomplishments, are siding against slavery, fighting for a right for a woman’s right to own property, and their right to an education

  8. Death • On October 28, 1818, Abigail died of typhoid fever. She was 73 years old about two weeks shy of her birthday.
