AN ISSUE OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE The highest political will exertion of the state leaders • At the 16th of March 2010 a President decree Nr. 321 “On measures for organization of high-speed running for railway transport in Russian Federation” was issued • Organization of high-speed operation and high-speed running for passenger trains is one of the most discussed issues in Russia 2

  3. AN ISSUE OF NATIONAL IMPORTANCE The highest political will exertion of the state leaders • At the 31st of August 2011 accepted an Government order Nr. 1522-r “Plan of actions for realization of the projects for organization of high-speed running for railway transport”. 3

  4. THE TOPICALITY OF ISSUE • 2013 – University Games in the city of Kazan • 2014 – Winter Olympic Games in the City of Sochi • 2018 – World Hockey Championship • 2018 – World Soccer Championship

  5. DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-SPEED RUNNING • Organization works of high-speed running on the line Moscow – Saint-Petersburg made by Lengiprotrans

PROBLEMS OF HIGH-SPEED RAILWAYS The most problematic issues in the realization of high-speed railway projects: Speed limitation; Reasonability of the HSR construction; Project investments; Mechanisms of project realization; Preparedness of Russian Federation to HSRconstruction; The main problem is the duration of project realization!!!
