Current energy use in buildings

This study explores the average energy demand and electricity consumption in various building types in Austria. It analyzes total primary energy demand measured in kWh/m2 and discusses the current thermal heating demand in passive houses. Additionally, it evaluates the efficiency of common home appliances, including refrigerators and freezers, under controlled conditions. The differences in energy consumption of models (A, A+, A++) highlight the importance of choosing energy-efficient options for reducing overall energy use in buildings.
