Base Salary Total amount of all WTEA members salaries added together. WTEA as of 2009/2010 Contract = $31,610,237.00
Increment Cost The price of moving each person up one step on the salary guide. Example: Step 14 = $64,450 Step 15 = $66,770 Increment = $2,320 %Increase = 3.6%
Last Contract Settled at 4.25% What Happened: The 4.25% is a percentage of the base, not individual salaries. Each step will have a slightly different increase with the higher increases going to the top of the guide. More people moving up means a higher increment cost, which means less of a salary increase on the overall guide.
Covering Increment Costs All BARGAINING UNITS: 2.1% next year 2.2% following year Means that the top stays the same, which impacts all of our retirements.
Around the State Impact of State Laws: 2% cap on total increase of total budget. State has reduced contribution to public schools. Wall lost over 3 million dollars this past year. 2010/2011 budget is slightly lower than 2009/2010.
