New York City, New York Where were you born? Near a river in Great Barrington, Mass. What is your family like? They were kind people. They always knew exactly what I wanted. And they never experienced slavery. Where were you educated? Atlanta University How far did you go in your education? Majored in history and minored in economics. What do you do for a living? Founder and runner of the NAACP Philosophies: I believe African Americans must earn their respect from the whites. Arts & Entertainment: I enjoyed reading books that showed the horrors of slavery. Including Uncle Tom’s Cabin Activities & Interests (Sports, Hobbies, What you do for fun) Soccer, karate. WALL May 30,1910- Oswald Villard- My sincerest thanks to you DuBois for making me the treasurer of the NAACP. May 31,1910- William Walling- Thank you sir for making me part of the executive committee of the NAACP. STATUS May 30, 1910- Today is a big day for the African Americans of America. We formed the NAACP. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will help many African Americans gain equality. NEWS FEED- May 31, 1910- Oswald Villard- We went over the NAACP’s budget today. June 1, 1910- Frances Blascoer- Just had an argument with Moorfield Storey. Grr.
