This proposal outlines the remodelling of the VISION.r relay using the Feedervision model. The updated design leverages existing Vision 2 hardware and incorporates modifications for a new recloser functionality. Key enhancements include an extended front panel, improved software, and optimized PCB layouts, all aimed at meeting FKI requirements while maintaining the cost advantages of existing components. The new design minimizes wiring and programming efforts, ensuring ease of manufacturing and a structurally superior product without sacrificing the established aesthetic.

VISION r REMODELLING PROPOSAL
Utilising Feedervision as the base model • Present relay for Venezuela job uses existing hardware from established Vision 2 hardware platform • Extended front panel and switch/led addition to achieve ‘look’ of a larger device • Software modified and re-written to create recloser functionality
VISION r design driven by specific project requirements. • Intention is to create a generic recloser relay to meet FKI requirements • Make use of the existing cost advantage • Absorb the functionality of high specification recloser applications • Minimise wiring, programming, reduces peripheral equipment and commissioning time
New VISION r to be mechanically repackaged • PCB layouts and circuitry to be consolidated using presently used BoM • No deviation from existing and proven software & hardware knowledge base • Better use of space within the relay • New hardware arrangement to be utilised as the de facto 200 series drawout relay • New platform also for retrofit products & repackaged FV2 and AFV2 relays
New format will not negate existing look • Maintained cost advantage by using existing BoM • Structurally superior • Inclusion of high current trip and close relays • Connectors can be to FKI choice • Ease of manufacture • Finished product
