SUM IT UP!

Sustainability Affects Renewability • Renewable resources are generally living resources which can restock or renew themselves if they are used sustainably. • Once renewable resources are consumed at a rate that exceeds the natural rate of replacement the stock will diminish and eventually run out. • FLOW renewable resources do not need regeneration. Flow renewable resources include renewable energy sources such as: solar, geothermal, biomass, landfill gases, tides and wind. SUM IT UP!

  4. Sustainable use affects non-renewable resources A non-renewable resource is a natural resource that exists in a fixed amount and cannot be remade, re-grown, or regenerated as fast as it is consumed and used up. SUM IT UP! (think about terms like conservation and extinction)
