Why not come and enter the technology in the future zone Come and preview of some of the amazing ideas and inventions already evolving around us and have a go at guessing… what is it? how does it work? And think about… can this really be done? What can possibly come next? What really is the most important thing when thinking about the technological future for me? Why not get involved in creating a new piece of technology on our FOTI (Future of Technology Ideas) wall by working on existing products, developing other ideas in sketches, notes and scribbles and lets see how and what technology can be invented from your ideas in the future.   11. Creating My Future in ICT Manage your future based on the card you are dealt in life. (you will receive a card from ICT with a profile). This card will place you in the shoes of a: student, adult, parent, retired adult, or grand parent. All the activities will be based around the profile you have been given (a future situation). Activities include: Choosing a house Buying a vehicle Picking a holiday Come to ICT2 Monday – Friday, Tuesday ICT are in PE2

Time Line of Significant Events in History For Theme Week Humanities are going to construct a giant time line in the main hall, all you have to do is come along with what YOU think is an important/significant event that has happened in History. Put a picture and information on an A4 piece of paper and stick it on the right date on the line.

  13. DRAMA In your future you’ll be making lots of decision… how will each one affect your life? In the drama studio you’ll have the opportunity to take your mind forward to your future, and look at how decisions can have an impact on where your life goes next. Take a step forward in time in the Drama Studio and find out what your future holds… FRIDAY 16th MARCH DR1 Ipm

In DA1 you’ll be dancing a timeline of iconic moves from across the decades, and then creating the future of dance by demonstrating what you think the next major dance style will be… What is the future of dance? Come to DA1 and create the next iconic dance moves!! THURSDAY 15th DA1 1pm

  15. MUSIC What is the soundtrack to your life so far? What will the soundtrack for your future be? You’ll be choosing the music that you think best represents the important moments in your life so far, and then selecting music that represents the moments that you want in your future Come to MU2 and create the musical timeline for your past, present and future! (Bring an iPad loaded with your favourite music!!) WEDNESDAY 14th MU2 12.40pm

  16. Technology Have you made a recipe you want to share with other people? Have you tasted something and wished you knew how to make it? Got nothing but raw ingredients in the cupboard at home and wish you knew what to do with them? Why not contribute a recipe to our Honywood Recipe book. Suitable recipes will be published in our school recipe book AND 4 Winning entries will also get the opportunity to make and taste their recipe in school in a master chef experience But don’t forget to consider…we want to encourage healthy lifestyles but a little naughty and nice is also necessary! could it be a… Starter? Main? Snack? Dessert? POST IDEAS TO THE LEARNER RECEPTION

English – Creating My Future Ever wanted to travel in time? • What would you say to your future self? • What advice would you give them? • What would your future self tell you? • What advice would your future self have for you? In English Learning sessions you will have the opportunity to write to have a conversation with your future self and exam what advice famous celebrities have said back to themselves from the future. You have the opportunity to travel in time, dispensing your wisdoms and helping yourself along in life.
