  2. Summary of MODAPS Production 12/01 • Forward Processing (C4.1, 5, 5.1 and IST) • Terra and Aqua forward processing are as close to real time as possible. • Reprocessing • Aqua L1b is being reprocessed for placement in the permanent archive. The leading edge is day 2009/111 (April 21, 2009) • The special IST reprocessing for Aqua is running with the Aqua L1b reprocessing and started with data day 2007/304 (November 1, 2007).

  3. Summary of PGE Deliveries to SDST (12/01) Collections 5 and 5.1 • Atmospheres: • An updated PGE04 C5.1 for Terra Deep Blue was installed for science testing. • A new version of PGE04 C5.1 was delivered for correction to dark target. • Another version of PGE04 C5.1 with changes to Deep Blue is expected shortly. • Land: • A new version of PGE41 to correct SDS fill values for QC file types has been baselined. • A new version of PGE21 (MOD09GQ1) to correct the problem found with RangeBegin and RangeEnd time has been baselined. • A new version of PGE36 (GPP Montana) has been baselined. • A test version of C5.1 PGE86 (Burned Area) was installed for science testing. Collection 6 • Level 1: • A new version of PGE02 (L1b) for Terra and Aqua was installed for science testing. • A new version of PGE01 (Geo and L1a) was installed for science testing. • Atmospheres: • A new version of PGE03 for use with LeoCat has been baselined. • We have received a pre-C6 change for PGE06. • We have received the new 3km aerosol process for C6 PGE04 • Land: • We have received the collection 6 versions of PGE16 (LST), PGE75 (daily CMG), PGE21 (8-day Surface Reflectance), PGE90 (Aeronet Subsetter) and PGE11(LSR)

  4. Summary of Science Testing 12/01 • Atmospheres: • Another 5-day science test (1 Aqua, 4 Terra) for PGE04 Terra deep blue completed and is under review. This test was reprocessed with the recent correction to dark target and additional changes to deep blue. The test will be reprocessed again when we receive the next changes to deep blue. • Test data sets of L1 through cloud mask have been generated for April 2005, Terra and Aqua for atmospheres C6 science testing. • A C6 test for PGE06 completed and is under review. • Land Science Testing: • A science test for PGE21 is currently running and should complete this afternoon. • A science test for C6 PGE16(LST) is currently processing and is expected to complete later this week. • A second 1-year test data set of C6 PGE11(LSR) and PGE75(CMG) has started. The test is expected to complete mid to late December.

  5. Summary of Science Testing (12/01) • L1 Science Testing: • A second science test for C6 PGE01 was processed through LSR and control points and is under review. • A C6 PGE02 science test for 32 days of Terra and 32 days of Aqua has completed. Results are okay. Further testing will start later this week by running the downstream C5 land codes and the atmospheres Aqua monthly code. • Mandriva Science Testing: • A second chain test from L0 through the land 8 and 16 day codes is currently processing. • PGEs 01,02,03,06,07,08,11,12,13,14,15,16,21,22,25,29,30,31,33, 35, 43,44,45,46,58,69,75,60,80,84 and 90 have passed Mandriva testing. • Land PGEs were tested using inputs generated on the Mandrake system • Tests for 8- and 16-day PGEs completed; PGEs 21,45,31,58,25,35,29 and 34 passed, PGE72 failed.
