Crate Design Status • 24 Slot “J-Crate” produced. • Few problems to clear up • Complicated surface treatment (electrical vs thermal requirements) under review at CGS. • Slots for “EMI” plates very difficult to machine. Drop for next version of crates – wait for QM results. • Drawings for U, UG Crates could be ready “soon”. AmsE TRD Crates

  19. xPD Design • Drawings started based on FlightDesign Tables for TPD. • Complete set reviewable by 1 Sept. • Need input from xPD responsibles • (btw – who is that for UPD?). AmsE TRD Crates

  20. Crate and xPD production: • CSIST has agreed to produce: • Mechanics: 4 U-Crates + 4 UPDs • (nothing for UG, UGPD) AmsE TRD Crates

  21. Crate & xPD Production • RWTH has agreed to produce: • 2 U-Crates (“QM1”, =EM?) • 0? UPD • 3? UG-Crates (EM=QM, FM, FS?) • 3? UGPD (ditto). • Crate Production (1 U & 1 UG) • could start Sep ’02 ? • (assume number of slots fixed) • xPD Production (0? UPD & 1 UGPD) • Could start Q4 ’02 ? • (assuming contents fixed) AmsE TRD Crates
