Survey Response • Satisfaction with services………………………. 99% • Met expectations……………………………..…. 91% • Organization appropriately represents needs.. 100% • Chapter Initiatives largely in response to verbatims • Focus on Recruiting • More Member Meetings in 2016 • Return to Barrie, Oshawa & Mississauga • Other chapter Initiatives: Communication • More frequent email Bulletins on items of interest • Improved 2 way communication • Local and Toll Free number consolidation of voice and email • New email program enables replies better error identification

  5. 2016 Focus on Membership • Membership as of December 2015 3153 • Current Membership May 11th 3240 • Contacted 286/400 Terminated members 27 • New Members since October 2015: 66 • Other losses 72 • Currently there are 543 members who have failed to renew for 2016 who we’ll have to call inspite of notice and reminders.

Focus on Growth in 2016 • It is hard to recruit and retain members? • Special Committee to Focus efforts new players/ideas. • Several Initiatives • Attended TCV meetings in Oakville, Fieldway, Brampton • Contacting inactive members from the past 5 years • Attended COMTECH AGM • Attended UNIFOR Ontario Communications Council • CONTEST Results - Draw prizes • Future • New ideas to engage members in recruitment give us your suggestions but most importantly help us recruit.

The 2016-2017 Slate of Directors • The National Board consists of up to 20 Directors • We strive for a balance between Ontario and Quebec that is reflective of our membership distribution • Ontario: Patte Seaton, Michelle Pilon, Gayle Duchene, Diane Holgate, Sue Dawes, Marg Eades, Dave Palmer, Peter Dilworth, Denis Henry • Québec: Daniel McDonald,Denis Marquis, Carol Lacroix, Raynald Wilson, Hélène D. Lefebvre • The 6 Chapter Chairs (3 Ontario, 3 Québec) are Directors on the National Board and are elected by the membership of their respective Chapter.

Approval of the 2016-2017 BPG Board of Directors • MOTION • The BPG membership renews Daniel McDonald, Patte Seaton and Marg Eades for an additional two-year term and elects the following new Directors as recommended by the current BPG Board for a two year term: • Ontario: Michelle Pilon, Diane Holgate, Denis Henry • Québec: Denis Marquis, Carol Lacroix, Raynald Wilson, Hélène D.   10. Chapter Chair Election • Since there were no nominations for chapter chair so the current chair is declared elected by acclamation for another 2 year term to 2018.

Corporate Board • Patte Seaton will introduce full board and their activities in a new environment at both Bell and Government • At Bell • New CFO /New HR VP • Folks we engage with on an ongoing basis are still the same • Government Advocacy • New Government • New Ministers • New Policies • Same concerns Pension & Bankruptcy Legislation

  14. Treasurer’s Report • Glen Simpson has been our Treasurer for six years. • He is assisted by Kathy Stoddard who receives and records payments. • Glen will present the audited Financial Statements which have been approved by the BPG Board.
