  3. Mesolithic Age • 10,000 to 6,000 BCE • Developed needles, spears, harpoons • Specialized in hunting specific animals • Grindstones to prepare vegetables • Bridge between old and new stone ages

  4. Neolithic Age • 8,000-3000 BCE • ONLY Homo Sapiens • Could polish stone tools, make pottery • Grow crops, raise animals • Settle in villages
