  5. Medium Density Fibre Board Medium Density Fibre Board is made from fine wood particles and adhesive (glue) pressed into a board. Medium Density Fibre Board is a manufactured board. Year 9

  7. Aluminium Aluminium is grey in colour, lightweight, malleable and does not rust. Aluminium is used in the manufacture of aircraft. Year 10

  21. Decibels Decibels is the measurement of sound.120 decibels is the sound of a jet engine. Year 13

  23. Conservation Conservation is the protection and careful management of the environment and natural resources. Legislation is used to protect areas of conservation. Year 13

  25. Volume Volume is the measurement of a three dimensional space. The volume of the swimming pool is measured by multiplying the length, breadth and depth. Year 14

  27. SustainableSustainable- Capable of being maintained at a steady level without exhausting natural resources or causing ecological damage. A tree is a prime example of a sustainable material. Year 14
