  1. The OutsidersS.E Hinton1997Realistic Fiction Stephanie & S. 1.

  2. Setting • 2:00 a.m, its dark in park. To me the setting is important because that’s were things go a little to far from normal, it's the night things get out of control. If it were a bright and sunny day it would completely ruin the sense of suspense.

  3. Characters

  4. Conflict • Something big goes down its MURDER!!!!!Johnny dose something terrible to someone in the park.(man vs. man)

  5. Summary of Plot • Pony boy suffers an attack , while walking home alone at night

  6. Theme • Its dark in the park 2:00a.m Text Evidence 1:’’things got better, I figured. They couldn't get worse. I was wrong, ’’page # 52 • Text Evidence 2:’’… he was a strange greenish-white, and his eyes were huger than i’d ever seen them..,’’page # 56 • Text Evidence 3:

  7. Point of View • Its told in first person • Its told in a way were you can read and feel the feelings of pony boy were you can understand it better • I think it depends on what other point of view it is but it would be miss under stood and it wouldn’t invite the reader in.

  8. Symbolism • ‘’…and knew everything was going to be okay now.’’ • To me it kind of proves in that little paragraph that he's learned and knows that he is loved

  9. Recommendation • Include a recommendation that explains why the book is worth reading or not.
