  10. James 1:2-4 "Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encountervarious trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.  And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing." Hebrews 13:20-21 20 Now the God of peace, who brought again from the dead, the great shepherd of the sheep, with the blood of an eternal covenant, even our Lord Jesus, 21 make you perfect (equip you ) in every good thing to do his will, working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen. To be Perfect… Perfection, apart from ourselves (God) is what makes us different from the world. They don’t have a standard to aim for. They are without hope.

  12. Equipping for doing the work of service Equipped for Service DOCTRINE • World GIFTS • Body EQUIP Pattern of God giving himself Service to Each Other To Build up the Body (Existing & New)

  13. This GRACE is also a GIFT Eph4:7 But each one of us has received a gift of grace, just as Christ wanted us to have it.  GRACE • Christianity is defined not by what we do, but by what God has done. • Grace by definition is an act of giving. It is God’s nature to give. • Grace gives in a measure that is unmerited, unearned and undeserved and free because it is its character to give • Grace is the act of self-giving; self-donation (John 3:16, John 7-Living Water)

  14. Your Gift = Your Grace GIFTS are for GIVING 1 Peter 4:10 "As every man has received the gift, even so minister the same, one to another as good stewards of the multicolored grace of God." Ephesians 3:8 "To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, this gracewas given…To preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.”

  15. 2 Timothy 1:6 "Hence I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you" (2 Timothy. 1:6) Gifts are for giving The Ministry of Spiritual Gifts • fellowship, • sharing, • praying for one another, • serving one another, • ministering to one another, • restoring one another, • confessing to one another, • forgiving one another, • admonishing one another, • praying for one another,

  16. How Great is our Gift?! Eph 4:7 But each one of us has received a gift of grace, just as Christ wanted us to have it.  8 That is why Scripture says,    "When he went up to his place on high,       he led a line of prisoners.       He gave gifts to people." —(Psalm 68:18) 9 What does "he went up" mean? It can only mean that he also came down to the lower, earthly places. 10 The One who came down is the same as the One who went up higher than all the heavens. He did it in order to fill all of creation.

  17. And He gave some as (METHOD) apostles,  prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, for (PURPOSE) the equipping (perfecting) of the saints for (PURPOSE) the work of service, to (OBJECTIVE) • the building up of the body of Christ • until we all reach unity • in the faith and • in the knowledge of the Son of God and • become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

  18. Become mature: attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. We are already quipped; We need to learn how to use it Eph 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man,  17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love,  18may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth,  19 and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.

  19. But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.“ Peter said to Him, "Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.“ And He said, "Come!" And Peter got out of the boat, and walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, "Lord, save me!“ Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?“ When they got into the boat, the wind stopped.
