  1. ghr  Official Full Name  growth hormone receptor  Background  This gene encodes a member of the type I cytokine receptor family, which is a transmembrane receptor for growth hormone. Binding of growth hormone to the receptor leads to receptor dimerization and the activation of an intra- and intercellular signal transduction pathway leading to growth. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Laron syndrome, also known as the growth hormone insensitivity syndrome (GHIS), a disorder characterized by short stature. In humans and rabbits, but not rodents, growth hormone binding protein (GHBP) is generated by proteolytic cleavage of the extracellular ligand-binding domain from the mature growth hormone receptor protein. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.[provided by RefSeq, Jun 2011]  Synonyms  GHR; growth hormone receptor; GHBP; GH receptor; serum binding protein; somatotropin receptor; growth hormone binding protein;  Recombinant Proteins  Cell & Tissue Lysates Cat.# Product name Source (Host) Species Tag Price GHR-2401MCL Recombinant Mouse GHR cell lysate HEK293 Mouse +Inquiry GHR-1140RCL Recombinant Rat GHR cell lysate HEK293 Rat +Inquiry Involved Pathway GHR involved in several pathways and played different roles in them. We selected most pathways GHR participated on our site, such as Cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, Neuroactive ligand- receptor interaction, PIK-Akt signaling pathway, which may be useful for your reference. Also, other proteins which involved in the same pathway with GHR were listed below. Creative BioMart supplied nearly all the proteins listed, you can search them on our site.

Some of the functions are cooperated with other proteins, some of the functions could acted by GHR itself. We selected most functions GHR had, and list some proteins which have the same functions with GHR. You can find most of the proteins on our site.
