A capacitor is a device that allows to store electrical energy to be used when needed. As we know, it is an object composed of conductive bodies (plates or reinforcements) of different forms, separated by an insulating or dielectric medium (which can also be empty space). If the reinforcements are parallel planes, it is called a plane condenser. The capacitor is an important component in AC circuits, but it cannot work with DC because the insulating material separating the two reinforcements blocks the passage of electrons and therefore the flow of current
