  1. Linksys RE6250 setup Setting up Linksys RE6250 is easy. First, plug it into a power outlet, then press the WPS button on the extender and router, or use the Linksys app to guide you through the setup process.

  2. Setting Up Linksys RE6250 WiFi Extender Manually The Linksys RE6250 WiFi Extender can be manually configured as follows: Connect the extender to an electrical socket close to your router. Join the extender's default Wi-Fi network (Linksys Extender Setup - XXX) with your PC or mobile device. Open a browser and enter http://extender.linksys.com or 192.168.1.1 as your IP address. To set up the extender's settings, including the network name (SSID) and password, adhere to the on-screen directions. Move the extender to a desirable area with the best Wi-Fi coverage when the configuration is finished. Use the new expanded Wi-Fi network to connect your devices and take advantage of the better performance and coverage. Note: You may configure and control your RE6250 extender using the Linksys app as well.

  3. Linksys RE6250 AC750 WPS Setup Guide RE6250 WPS Extender: Follow these directions to set up your Linksys Turn on your Linksys RE6250 first. Locate the WPS button on it. Your AC750's WPS button should be pressed. Press the same WPS button on your standard wifi device again after a little delay. A minute will pass before the WPS LED turns the table green. When it gives a firm green light, unplug your AC750 and place it at your new position where you want to boost up your existing network.
