  4. Question • One feature we could add to the new system performs automatic chapter assignments. This means that a) when you join, this feature automatically assigns you to a chapter based on your zip/postal code; and b) when you move to a new area, you're automatically reassigned to a new chapter based on your zip/postal code. Which of the following best expresses your thoughts on this "auto-assign" feature: Select one • Turn that feature on for all members! Switching chapters is something we shouldn't have to remember when we move. • Turn that feature off for all members! Members should decide if and when they switch chapters—it shouldn't be done by a computer program. • Give me the option on my change-of-address page to opt-in to this feature or opt out of it. This way, everyone has the option of deciding. • No opinion Response Rate • 1317 (out of 1326) Office Liaison: Maurice Martin Question 1 STC Board Reports

  23. Question 9 Question • The current STC Society-level volunteer organization has six main areas of work. Our Bylaws require that committees supporting two of these—Governance and Finance & Audit—must always be in place. The other committees may or may not be in place, depending on the objectives of the Board at that time.Below is a list of possible committees with hints as to their activities. Please choose the one area (besides the two required) that you believe is most important to the Society and needs to receive consistent support and focus going forward: • Finance & Audit • Governance (bylaws, nominating committee, policies & procedures, etc.) Office Liaison: Maurice Martin Date STC Board Reports Slide 23
