  1. Welcome To Sunday School Class Bibleplaces.com

  2. Written From Roman

  3. The Spiritual Life in Practice Galatians 6:1-10

  4. Something To Think About! Without the Holy Spirit leading in our lives we will go to our fallen brethren with condemnation rather than seeking restoration. Unless the Holy Spirit leads in our lives we will nitpick the work of others rather than carefully examining our own. If we live contrary to the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we will sow to the flesh and reap corruption rather than sowing to the Spirit and reaping life everlasting.

  5. KEY VERSE Galatians 6:7 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”.

  6. Lesson Objectives To realize the practical effects of following the Holy Spirit’s guidance To learn to fulfill the law of Christ To realize our actions produce results

  7. DEMONSTRATIONS AMONG BRETHREN Galatians 6:1-3 Restore the Fallen (1) Galatians 5:26 James 5:19-20 Galatians 5:16-17 Bear One Another’s Burdens (2-3) Galatians 5:14 Leviticus 19:18 Matthew 7:12

  8. As we walk in the Spirit, He will guide us in our relationships with other believers. As important as it is for us to go to a fallen brother, it is even more important that we go with the right attitude. To go with an attitude of judgment, instead of meekness, can do more eternal damage than good. This is why Paul says that those who are spiritual must be the ones to go. Since part of the fruit of the Spirit is meekness and gentleness, we can be sure He will never lead us to restore a brother with a judgmental and condemning attitude.

  9. RESPONSIBILITY AND SUPPORT Galatians 6:4-6 Bear Your Own Burden (4-5) 2 Corinthians 10:12 Provide Support (6) 1 Timothy 5:17-18

  10. The call to bear one another’s burdens is not a call to shirk our duties. Although we are to bear one another’s burdens, there are some things that cannot be passed on to others. These things we must do ourselves. No one else can be a husband to your wife, a father to your children, or the spiritual leader of your home. These are responsibilities you cannot pass on to another. You must take responsibility and perform these duties.

  11. SOWING AND REAPING Galatians 6:7-10 Actions and Consequences (7-8) A Reason to Persevere (9-10)

  12. Every day we plant seeds that will one day bring forth a harvest of some kind. When the harvest comes—whether good or bad—it will be nothing more than the result of the life we’ve lived. Many people today want to sow to the flesh and pray for a crop failure. There are also many people today who sow to the flesh and expect to reap “of the Spirit.” Unfortunately for them these things do not work.

  13. QUESTIONS FOR STUDY AND DISCUSSION 1. How should we respond to another Christian being overcome by sin? 2. What does Paul mean when he says that “those who are spiritual” should seek to restore a fallen Christian? 3. Why should we go to a fallen brother in “the spirit of meekness”? 4. What are some practical ways in which we can “bear one another’s burdens”? 5. What are some responsibilities of life that cannot be shared? 6. What is the law of sowing and reaping? What kind of harvest will you reap?
