1. Functional and Non-Functional Testing #techtuesdays

2. What is the key difference between functional and non- functional testing? Functional testing observes the behavior of a software feature under test and decides its functionality whereas non- functional testing assess other application properties not related to functionality. #techtuesdays

3. Types of functional testing Smoke test Checks the app’s main flows and functionalities superficially. Smoke Test Software Build Unstable Stable #techtuesdays

4. Types of functional testing Integration testing Integration testing is done to understand how two or more functions or components of a software work when integrated to form a system. #techtuesdays

5. Types of functional testing User Acceptance Testing User acceptance testing is done by opening a part of the software to the client and target audience and observing how they interact with the product and analyzing their expectations. #techtuesdays

6. Types of non-functional testing Performance testing Performance testing is used to verify an application in terms of speed and responsiveness under different loads and scenarios. Load Testing Stress Testing Endurance Testing Performance Testing Spike Testing Volume Testing Scalability Testing #techtuesdays

7. Types of non-functional testing Usability testing User interface is tested for ease of use during usability testing Useful Findable Accessible usable Desirable #techtuesdays

8. Types of non-functional testing Security testing Security testing is done to observe any chance of data breaches in the process, how data is handled, or any loopholes existing for an external attack. Penetration testing Security Auditing Vulnerability scanning Types of Security testing Risk Ethical hacking Assessment Posture scanning Security scanning #techtuesdays

9. Comparison of functional and non-functional tests Functional testing Non-functional testing It verifies the operations and actions of an application. It verifies the behavior of an application. It is based on the requirements of customers. It is based on the expectations of customers. It helps to enhance the behavior of the application. It helps to improve the performance of the application. It describes how the product does. It tests what the product does. Functional testing is based on the business requirement. Non-functional testing is based on the performance requirement. #techtuesdays
