  1. INTRODUCTION TO SALAAT The following prayers are Wajib: DHOHR ASR FAJR MAGHRIB ISHA PRAYER OF AAYAT PRAYER AFTER COMPLETING TAWAF OF KAABA PRAYER ON MAYYIT

  2. PREPARATION FOR SALAAH Before starting to pray, we must prepare ourselves as we are about to stand in front of Allah [s.w.t]. This is known as: MUQADDAMATUS-SALAAT

  3. PREPARATION FOR SALAAH Our body must be (tahir) clean We must know the right time of salaah Our clothes must be tahir [clean] Quibla -We must know in which direction to face Place of prayer must be clean Wudhoo must be performed N.B. The place where we put our head (prostrate) must be tahir

  4. CLOTHES FOR SALAAH NOT MADE FROM ANY PART OF A HARAAM ANIMAL TAHIR NOT MADE OF GOLD MUBAH FOR MEN NOT MADE OF PURE SILK

  5. PLACE OF SALAAH PLACE MUST BE YOURS PLACE MUST BE TAHIR & CLEAN PRAYER MAT MUST BE CLEAN & TAHIR PERMISSION NOT NEEDED IF YOU PRAY IN THE MOSQUE YOU MUST HAVE PERMISSION OF OWNER TO USE IF NOT YOURS

  6. SALAAH RECITATION FIRST RAKAAT RAISE YOUR HANDS AND SAY 1. NIYYAT YOU SHOULD BE IN QIYAM (Standing) AND FACING QUIBLA 2. QIYAM Allah is greater than being able to be described "I am praying 3 rakaats for Salaatul Maghrib, Wajib Qurbatan Ilallah” [To seek the pleasure of Allah] Allahu Akber N. B. It is not necessary to say Niyyat , just know the meaning in your heart. N.B. Qur’an Recitation must be in Arabic

SALAAH RECITATION SALAAH RECITATION Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil 'alamin; Arrahmanir Rahim; Maliki yaw middin; Iyyaka na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'in; Ihdinas siratal mustaqim; Siratal lazina an'amta 'alayhim; Ghayril maghzubi 'alayhim walazzallin. YOU SHOULD THEN RECITE SURA AL-FATEHA AND ANY OTHER SURA FROM THE QUR’AN 3. QIRAAT In the name of Allah the most Kind, the most merciful; All praise is to Allah; The Kind, The Merciful; Master of the Day of Judgement ; You alone we serve & You alone we ask for help; Keep us on the right path ; The path of those upon whom You have sent favours; Not the path of those with whom You are angry and also not of those who have gone astray In the name of Allah the most kind, the most merciful; Say Allah is one; He needs nothing, but everything else needs Him; He has no children and He has no parents; And there is none other equal to Him Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim Qul huwallahu Ahad Allahus SamadLam yalid walam yuladWalam yakullahu kufuwan ahad

  8. SALAAH RECITATION 4. QIYAM Glory be to Allah, the Supreme, and all praise is for Him. O Allah, send your blessings to Prophet Muhammad and his family. Allah is greater than anything or anyone Subhana Rabbiyal 'Azimi wa bihamdih Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad Allahu Akber 5. RUKU 6. QIYAM Allah hears anyone who praises Him; Allah is greater than anything or anyone Samey-Allaho Layman hamedah Allahu Akber

SAJDAH Subhana Rabbi yal A'la wa bihamdih Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad Glory be to Allah the Most High and all praise is for Him O Allah, send your blessings to Prophet Muhammad and his family. Allah is greater than being able to be described; I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, and turn to Him in repentance; Allah is greater than being able to be described 8. JULOOS Allahu AkberAstaghfir-oolaha Rabbee wa Atoobo IlaihAllahu Akber

Subhana Rabbi yal A'la wa bihamdih Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad Bay Hawlillahay wa Qoowateyhee Aqoomo wa Aqud 10. SIT FOR A MOMENT THEN RISE SAYING Due to the vigor given by Allah and because of the vitality from Him I rise and stand.

  12. SALAAH RECITATION 12. QIYAM Rabbana Aatayna Fiddoonya Hasasatawn wa fil Aakheratey Hasanatawn wa Qena Azabzn Nar 13. QUNOOT Allah is greater than anything or anyone O our Lord! Bestow upon us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the torment of the fire Allahu Akber Glory be to Allah, the Supreme, and all praise is for Him. O Allah, send your blessings to Prophet Muhammad and his family. 14. RUKU Subhana Rabbiyal 'Azimi wa bihamdih Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad

SALAAH RECITATION SALAAH RECITATION SALAAH RECITATION Ash hadu an la ilaha illal lahu wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan 'Abduhu wa Rasuluh Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad 19. TASHAHUD I testify that there is none worth worshipping except the Almighty Allah, Who is One and has no partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. O Allah! Send Your blessings on Muhammad and his progeny. Bay Hawlillahay wa Qoowateyhee Aqoomo wa Aqud 20.   16. SALAAH RECITATION SALAAH RECITATION THIRD RAKAAT YOU SHOULD RECITE TASBIHATE ARBAA 3 TIMES 21. QIRAAT Subhanallahi wal hamdu lillahi wa la ilaha lallahu wallahu Akbar Glory be to Allah, and all praise is for Him and there is no one worth worshipping other than Allah, and He is Greater than any description

QIYAM Allah hears anyone who praises Him; Allah is greater than being able to be described Samey-Allaho Layman hamedah Allahu Akber

JULOOS Allahu AkberAstaghfir-oolaha Rabbee wa Atoobo IlaihAllahu Akber

Subhana Rabbi yal A'la wa bihamdih Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad Ash hadu an la ilaha illal lahu wahdahu la sharika lah, wa ash hadu anna Muhammadan 'Abduhu wa Rasuluh Alla humma salli 'ala Muhammadin wa Ali Muhammad 28. TASHAHUD I testify that there is none worth worshipping except the Almighty Allah, Who is One and has no partner, and I testify that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. O Allah! Send Your blessings on Muhammad and his progeny.

  20. SALAAH RECITATION Assalamu 'alayka ayyuhan Nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh Assalamu 'alayna wa 'ala 'ibadil lahis salihin Assalamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. 29. SALAAM O Prophet! Allah's peace, blessings and grace be upon you! Allah's peace be on us, those offering prayers - and upon all pious servants of Allah! Allah's peace, blessings and grace be on you believers! RECITE ALLAHO AKBAR 3 TIMES AND THAT ENDS YOUR SALAAH 30. END OF SALAAH Allah is greater than anything or anyone Allahu Akber
