ESCAMBIA COUNTY EQUESTRAIN CENTER RECEIVES AWARD FROM NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF COUNTY PARK AND RECREATION OFFICIALS • The National Association of County Park and Recreation Officials (NACPRO) has advised that Escambia County’s nomination of the Escambia County Equestrian Center has been selected an award winner within the Parks and Recreation Class III Facility Category • NACPRO Areas and Facilities Awards of Excellence have been created to recognize and honor excellence in recreation and park facilities; to focus national attention (both public and professional) on the very best of facility design; to encourage outstanding efforts in planning, design, construction and benefits to the community; and to be a resource of information for the highest quality of facility development. Class III Facility award is presented to park and recreation facilities in counties with a county population of 200,000 to 500,000 • NACPRO Awards Committee scored over 70 applications for the seven Areas and Facilities category and Escambia County Equestrian Center placed first in Class III Park and Recreation Facility Award.
