  4. #1 Promote the installation and use of Satellite Downlinks • Sell the “benefits”  • Keep sending information – keep painting the vision! • Tell success stories • Ask for feedback

  5. ØWork out a 9-12 month plan (See 4-phase strategy document) ØTraining and revival ØLocal Interest Development programs ØAdvertising & Promotion ØOrganization of evangelistic meeting ØFollow up #2 Ensure proper spiritual and practical preparation

  6. #3 Facilitate & support installations • Understand the issues • Know all the contacts & resources • Have equipment information on hand • Encourage local initiatives • Develop local leadership

  7. #4 Promote Technical Training for laity • Provide resources (venue, accommodation, funds) • Encourage formation of associations • Let local Trainers train others • Refresher courses every 12 months

  8. Objective: At least 1 technical support person available to each downlink site in order to have: üQuick resolution of problems üTrouble free programs #5 Create and effectively use a technical support structure

  13. #6 Ensure distribution of correct program information in good time • ØObjective – to pass on information within 1 day • ØSet up a reliable method of distributing information quickly • ØAdd value to program information for local usefulness • ØPublicize alternate ways of getting program information – reduce risk

  14. Objective: To have every downlink site working well Every country / Union have at least one Help Desk Every downlink site knows exactly who to phone #7 Ensure local support during broadcasts

  15. ..Suggested Local Support Structure • Phone lines for help – well advertised • Downlink equipment • Technical persons fluent in local languages • List of contact numbers for all downlink site technical people • Email access – late announcements, changes from ATN • Contact with service organizations (Division, ATN) Keep log of types of calls handled for later analysis & action

  16. Objective To “sell the benefits” of video ministry Can be self-financing ØLocal church libraries (inreach) ØOutreach ØTarget specific groups (affluent, educated) #8 To promote video ministry and distribution

  17. #9 Communicate with ATN • You are the local representative / ambassador for ATN • Give local feedback about programs - relevance • Collect suggestions for future programs
