  3. THEME WORKSHOP ON STEEL FURNITURE THEME: “Yet another chair” Why design yet another chair? Every year hundreds of new chairs appear on the market. It never ceases it amaze me the endless creativity in chair design. Manufacturers propose their latest creations, each one like a new hero. Chairs are without doubt one of the most expressive industrially manufactured products. However that time goes buy, few of these heroes continue in production. A lucky few become timeless masterpieces. The reason for this is more often than not because they have defined the use of a specific technology in a combination with function and poetry in a perfect balance. The project is for each participant to design their own interpretation of a sitting arrangement, with steel. This can be a new design, using steel combined with other materials. The furniture need to be a catalyst of human senses. We believe that furniture should be casual, simple, minimal, soft but precise.   6. suggestion • A workshop can be organised on manufacturing process of steel furniture. 2. Knowledge centre can display various kind of material for interior application.
