Goods & Services Tax is a consumption-based tax which is levied on sale, manufacture & consumption of goods & services. The new tax system unifies all the direct and indirect taxes collected at different points in India. The three types of taxes u2013 Central GST and State GST for intrastate transactions and IGST (Integrated GST) for interstate transactions are as follows.
