  2. General Rules Be careful not to bump the computers! Lost?

  3. Take Care of the Equipment Don’t push buttons on the computer Don’t stick your fingers into the computer Don’t plug or unplug the cords Keep equipment out of your mouth

  4. Before you start on the computer All students must have a signed Internet Use Agreement on file to access the Internet at school Make sure your hands are clean

  5. When you’re sitting down Use both hands to type Use correct posture Hands on your own keyboard and mouse

  6. If you have a problem Raise your hand if you need your teacher Ask a neighbor if they can help you Stay seated in your chairs Don’t yell at your teacher or wave your hands

  7. While you’re working • Sit in your assigned seat • Loud, unruly or other behavior disruptive to other students is unacceptable • Your time is limited in the lab. Make the most of that time • Never pretend to be another user by using their logon name and/or password or sharing your logon name and/or password with another student • Store your documents in network folders (H drive), not on the hard drive (my computer) **If you don’t save to your H drive, your work will be lost.** • Ask for permission to print, then only ask your computer to print ONCE. If you choose Print twice, you will get TWO copies!

  8. When on the Internet • Never give out personal information. Only visit approved websites No personal email No chatting

  9. When it’s time to go Restart your computer when finished. The last class of the day will shut down the computers. Put headsets away. Do not put headsets on top of the keyboard or around the PC. Collect all of your papers and pencils. Push chair in. This is your computer lab. Please leave it neat and clean.
