  2. Different types of beans • You can grow all different types of beans. • A couple of types are Broad beans, purple beans, climbing beans and Jumping Beans.

  3. What do beans hate • Beans hate darkness. • Some beans like the frost but the flowers don’t e.g. broad beans they don’t mind the frost but their flowers hate it. • They do not like it when they get no water.

  4. My Experiment • I have started my own experiment to see if moving my bean outside will make it change from pale green to dark green. It is pale from living inside so I put it outside. I’m seeing if the stem will get darker because the leaves are already dark. • This is a photo of bean This is a photo of my when I put it outside. Bean after a week outside.

  5. How to grow beans • Buy or collect your bean seeds. • Get some pots. • Plant your seeds. • Water your seeds. • Give sunlight and water for best results. • Wait for flowers then beans to eat and cook your favourite recipes.

  6. Different ways to use beans • Share with your friends and family. • Cook in your favourite bean recipe e.g. • dips, salads, stir-fry and many, many more recipes. • Eat raw • I would like to know your favourite bean recipes with me at katrina.brett1@education.nsw.gov.au

  7. What I like about this project • I think this project is very good because it helps kids lean more about gardening, beans, video conferencing and it teaches kids confidence in talking to other children and in front of their friends.
