Conceptual Model of the New PINS System • FACT (Family Access & Connections Team) • county cross-trained team • stabilization & short-term care • - family centered/strength based • - emergency/crisis response • - school liaison function • runaway response • - comprehensive assessment • - link to community services • - access to emergency/alternative beds Other Community Resources/Systems FAMILY EDUCATIONALSEMINAR -required for ALL PINS cases going to Family Court - involves staff from DHS, Probation, CSEU, CBA & other agencies as needed PINS Intake (Mon Co. Probation) - assess for further diversion services - high-end programs/formal diversion - presence in Family Court to screen for alternatives to detention - maintain an array of alternatives to detention programs POTENTIAL SERVICE/COMMUNITY RESOURCES Youth Emergency Services (YES) Short-term Respite (1- 15 days) Intensive community-based mental health programs DHS Preventive Services Curfew Monitoring Coordinated Care Services Initiative (CCSI) supports Parent Advocacy & Mentoring Substance Abuse Evaluation & Treatment Educational Advocacy/Support/Remediation Employment Programs Functional Family Therapy (FFT) PINS Mediation Runaway Shelter & Support Services Independent Living Programs Family Group Counseling YFP (Youth & Family Partnership) Other Community Resources/Services as needed DIVERSION RESOURCES Specialized Diversion Service Youth & Family Partnership Electronic Monitoring Juvenile Intervention Team (JIT) Aggression Replacement Training Juvenile Reporting Center (JRC) Other community resources including those available to the FACT FAMILY COURT DRUG COURT Revised 5/06
